World Cup 2026 – Live TV Coverage on BBC, ITV & Fox
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place from Thursday 11th June – Sunday 19th July 2026.
It will be jointly hosted by sixteen cities—eleven in the United States, three in Mexico, and two in Canada. The tournament will be the first FIFA World Cup to be hosted by three nations, and the first to include 48 teams, an expansion from 32 previously.
Cape Verde, Curacao, Jordan, and Uzbekistan will all make their World Cup debuts, while Argentina is the defending champion, having won its third World Cup title in 2022.
The tournament will be shown live on the BBC and ITV in the UK, while Fox air coverage in the United States.
BBC
Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott will front BBC’s TV coverage throughout the tournament.
Broadcasting from BBC Sport’s home in Salford, a brand new, state of the art immersive studio will transport viewers to 16 cities across three host nations – Canada, Mexico and the USA.
They will be joined by Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, Micah Richards, Joe Hart, Paul Robinson, Steph Houghton, Ellen White and Danny Murphy.
Representing Scotland are Scott Brown, Rachel Corsie and James McFadden, while World Cup winner Olivier Giroud, Gaël Clichy, César Azpilicueta, Benni McCarthy, Ashley Williams and Thomas Frank add global insight.
Former international referee Darren Cann completes the team, bringing expert analysis from the heart of the game.
Kelly Somers and Eilidh Barbour will be the England and Scotland camps bringing viewers the latest news, reaction and behind-the-scenes access throughout the tournament.
Lead commentary comes from Guy Mowbray, Steve Wilson, Steve Bower, Jonathan Pearce, Robyn Cowen, Steven Wyeth and Liam McLeod.
The co-commentary team is made up of Alan Shearer, Danny Murphy, Stephen Warnock, Efan Ekoku, Martin Keown, Sue Smith, Rachel Corsie, James McFadden and Paul Robinson.
ITV
ITV’s coverage will be presented by Mark Pougatch, Laura Woods and Semra Hunter.
The trio will be joined live from ITV’s studios in Brooklyn, New York by Roy Keane, Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Patrick Vieira, Karen Carney, Ange Postecoglou, Juan Mata, Emma Hayes, Duncan Ferguson, Jobi McAnuff and Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Lead commentary comes from Sam Matterface, Jon Champion, Seb Hutchinson and Joe Speight.
Co-commentary is provided by Lee Dixon, Ally McCoist, Andros Townsend and Lucy Ward.
ITV reporters on the ground will be Gabriel Clarke and Connie McLaughlin, while Christina Unkel returns as the Referee Analyst to provide insights into the biggest refereeing decisions across the tournament, as well as the big VAR calls.
BBC iPlayer & ITVX
Both networks will broadcast their respective games live online via the BBC iPlayer or ITVX.
Fox & FS1
Fox will broadcast all 104 games of the tournament with 70 on the main Fox channel and 34 on FS1.
Fox’s coverage will be fronted by Rob Stone, Rebecca Lowe, Jules Breach and Pien Meulensteen.
They will be joined by International legends Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Clarence Seedorf, Javier Hernandez, John Obi Mikel, Thiago Alcantara, Juan Pablo Angel and Peter Schmeichel.
U.S. Footballer Alexi Lalas, Carli Lloyd, and Clint Dempsey will also be part of Fox’s TV coverage.
Fox’s commentary team will feature a ton of British talent including: Darren Fletcher & Owen Hargreaves; Derek Rae & Robert Green; Ian Crocker & Danny Higginbotham; Ian Darke & Landon Donovan; Jacqui Oatley & Warren Barton; John Strong & Stu Holden; JP Dellacamera & Lori Lindsey; Mark Scott & Cobi Jones; Tyler Terens & Maurice Edu.
