NFL 2026 – Live TV Coverage on Sky Sports and Channel 5

The 2026 National Football League season gets underway on September 10th, with the Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, hosting the six-time winners of the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the New England Patriots.

The game will air live on NBC in the United States and on Sky Sports NFL in the UK.

UK Coverage

There is only one change to the TV coverage from last season in the UK. Channel 5 will show a game on Sunday evening at 6.00pm – now on 5Action, while the bigger game at 9.25pm will air on the main Channel 5 channel.

Channel 5 will also show all three London games.

Sky will continue to air Thursday, Sunday and Monday Night Football. They will also show games on Sunday evenings — one at 6pm, and multiple games at 9.05pm and/or 9.25pm.

U.S. Coverage

Coverage in the United States is also the same as last year, with Thursday Night Football airing on Amazon Prime (excluding the opening game and Thanksgiving games). Sunday Night Football will air on NBC, with Monday Night Football on ESPN.

ESPN and ABC will air Super Bowl LXI on February 14th, 2027. It will be the first Super Bowl simulcast between the two networks, the first time ABC has aired the Super Bowl since Super Bowl XL in 2006, and the first time ESPN will air the Super Bowl. The marquee matchup will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and Channel 5 in the UK.

There have been a few changes to the TV line-ups, though. Firstly, Jim Nantz at CBS will be joined by J.J. Watt after Tony Romo was sent home following his arrest on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Drew Brees will join Fox’s third team of Adam Amin and Kristina Pink. The rest of the Fox line-up remains the same as last season.

Sideline reporter Molly McGrath will move from college football to the NFL on ESPN. She will work on the NFL Network’s package of games. She spent the last three seasons working with Sean McDonough and Greg McElroy on the number two college football team. Katie George will replace her.

Netflix

Netflix will show a batch of games this season, including one in Week 1, as the 49ers take on the Rams at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.

The streaming network will also air its first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game on November 25th, as the Green Bay Packers visit the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.

Two games will be streamed on Christmas Day, as the Green Bay Packers visit the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, followed by the Buffalo Bills against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.

New for this NFL season is a Week 18 game on Netflix. It will take place during the final weekend of the regular season, with playoff places on the line.

In addition to the on-field action, Netflix will also stream the NFL Honors globally, showcasing the league’s annual awards presentation during Super Bowl week.

As for the Melbourne game: Netflix sports host Elle Duncan will lead the pregame, halftime, and postgame studio coverage in the company of Michael Irvin, Nick Foles, and Clay Matthews III.

Noah Eagle will be on play-by-play alongside former Carolina Panthers All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly. Tom Pelissero and MJ Acosta-Ruiz will handle sideline reporting duties.

International Games

A total of nine games will be played internationally, including:

• Week 3: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, September 27th (Maracanã Stadium)
• Week 4: London, UK — Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Commanders on Sunday, October 4th (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)
• Week 5: London, UK — Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 11th (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)
• Week 6: London, UK — Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 18th (Wembley Stadium)
• Week 7: Paris, France — Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 25th (Stade de France)
• Week 9: Madrid, Spain — Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, November 8th (Bernabéu Stadium)
• Week 10: Munich, Germany — New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions on Sunday, November 15th (FC Bayern Munich Arena)
• Week 11: Mexico City, Mexico — Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, November 22nd (Estadio Banorte)
