Darshini David is Chief Economics Correspondent at the BBC.
Prior to this, David was a business correspondent and news presenter for Sky News from 2009. She returned to the BBC in 2018.
Darshini first joined the BBC in 2000 and reported on a wide range of business and consumer stories for the corporation. She has also presented for Panorama.
She was the New York based co-presenter of World Business Report, presenting most evenings alongside Tanya Beckett.
Prior to joining the BBC, Darshini worked at HSBC.
Born and brought up in London, her family are originally from Sri Lanka.
