Botting, decided on a career in journalism after gaining a geography degree from Oxford.
She produced Granada Action for Granada Television, reported for radio and television for BBC North and presented Look North before joining Sky News in January 1995 as a general reporter and presenter.
Since working at Sky News, Anna has covered many major stories including the release of the Bridgewater Three and the Caroline Dickinson murder.
