Andy Bell joined Five News in April 1999 and is the channels Political Editor.

Prior to joining Five, Andy worked for the BBC for ten years as the Foreign Affairs Editor for the Today Programme on BBC Radio 4.

This role took him to breaking news stories across the world. He has published entries in the BBC’s From Our Own Correspondent and wrote and presented a documentary on John Prescott for Five.

Bell is a History graduate from Corpus College, Cambridge and won a Thouron scholarship to study International relations at University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

He is married with three children.
