The Sun and TalkTV debate between Tory leadership hopefuls has been suspended after host Kate McCann fainted.

TalkTV said: “Kate McCann fainted on air tonight and although she is fine, the medical advice was that we shouldn’t continue with the debate. We apologise to our viewers and listeners.”

Kate’s former Sky News colleague Sarah-Jane Mee said on Twitter: “Kate will have wanted to get back up and get on with the debate…

Kate left Sky News in January 2022 to join the new channel TalkTV as their Political Editor.

Before joining Sky in 2018, Kate worked at The Daily Telegraph as senior political correspondent and The Sun as political correspondent
