Over 102 million total viewers tuned In for NFL Super Wild Card weekend.
The six games averaged 30.5 million viewers, which is up +21% on 2020 and is the second-highest Wild Card weekend average since 2015-16.
ESPN’s Monday Night Football meagcast was viewed by 23.15 million viewers with a peak of 27.9m as the Rams led 21-0 in the second quarter against Cardinals.
Cincinnati’s 23-16 victory over Las Vegas, headlined by Bengals QB Joe Burrow’s 244 passing yards and two touchdowns in his first career playoff start, averaged a total audience of 29.0 million viewers on NBC, while Sunday night’s Steelers-Chiefs game was viewed by 30.5m on the network.
Fox’s broadcast of the NFC clash between Tampa and Philadelphia was viewed by 30.3m – up 24% on last year’s Wild Card game between Seahawks and Rams.
But it was CBS who had the most viewers this weekend with an average of 41.4 million viewers tuning in for 49ers @ Cowboys – up 35% on last year’s game.
The 2021/22 season continues this weekend with the divisional games – live on CBS, Fox and NBC, and on Sky Sports NFL in the UK.
