Doc Rivers is the new head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks fired first-year head coach Adrian Griffin after 43 games earlier this week.

Rivers – who recently led the Philadelphia 76ers to three consecutive trips to the Eastern Conference semi-finals – had been working as an NBA analysis for ESPN this season.

“We wish Doc well and we look forward to documenting the next chapter of his coaching career,” said David Roberts, ESPN’s head of event and studio production.

“We have a deep roster of supremely talented commentators who will continue to serve NBA fans with tremendous skill, passion and expertise.”

Doc was working alongside Mike Breen and Doris Burke.
