Coming out of a two-way with Sky’s political correspondent Anushka Asthana, Kay said “But if I show.. because he looks like a bit of a knob.”

Kay, who clearly thought her microphone was off air, apologised for her comment, tweeting: “Soz for poor language – never alone with a microphone! Challenging environment ;-)”..

Kay is reporting live from Aberdeen ahead of tomorrow’s Scottish Referendum vote.
