ITV announced today that News at Ten will return from Monday 14th January, broadcasting weekly from Monday to Thursday.
The programme will be presented by Sir Trevor McDonald, Julie Etchingham and Mark Austin.
Sir Trevor McDonald said: “I am delighted to be back with the news in the 10 o’clock slot. I’m looking forward to the new programme immensely and to the challenge of returning News at Ten to its place in the nation’s affections.”
Julie Etchingham, who joins ITV from Sky News, said: “I’m delighted to be joining News at Ten. It’s an iconic programme with an extraordinary history, and a genuine place in people’s affections. It will be an honour to work with Sir Trevor, and to be part of its comeback as a fresh, new programme.”
Friday’s programme ‘The Late News’ will broadcast at 11.00pm. Saturday and Sunday’s edition will also broadcast late with no set start time.
