Gary Lineker to be a pundit on ITV’s World Cup 2026 Coverage
Former BBC Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker will be a pundit on ITV’s World Cup coverage this Saturday.
He’ll join the team in Brooklyn, New York for Germany’s clash with the Ivory Coast.
Lineker, who left the BBC 13 months ago, is in New York recording daily episodes of The Rest is Football podcast, which is being shown on Netflix.
He hosted six World Cups for the BBC – more than any other BBC host – but left the BBC in 2025 after a 26-year run.
As of now, Lineker’s appearance on ITV at this tournament is said to be a one-time deal.
