Eamonn Holmes is joining GB News to host the Breakfast Show with Isabel Webster in the New Year.
He joins from ITV, where he has presented This Morning for the last 15 years.
Eamonn spent 12 years co-presenting GMTV and 11 years hosting Sunrise at Sky News.
He grew up in Belfast and started his journalism career at a Dublin-based business
magazine before joining Ulster Television as a reporter for Farming Ulster.
By the time he was 21, he was anchoring the channel’s flagship show, Good Evening Ulster.
“I’ve spent my career on broadcasting firsts and start-ups, and GB News is one of the
most exciting yet,” Eamonn said.“It’s just the kind of shake-up the industry needs.
“I’ve admired GB News from the beginning for its clever mix of punchy debate
but delivered with warmth and even some fun.“To me the greatest honour in journalism is to give a voice and respect to the unheard, and that’s exactly what GB News is all about.”
Eamonn was appointed an OBE for services to broadcasting in the Queen’s New Year Honours in 2018.
