Weather presenter, Andrea McLean is to quit her job at GMTV after eleven years.

Andrea will continue to present Loose Women on ITV1 and plans to pursue other broadcasting opportunities.

Andrea said: “I’ve been thinking about it for a while, The time is right for me to move on. After eleven years of getting up at 3.30 in the morning I think I deserve a lie in.”

GMTV`s Director of Programmes, Peter McHugh said: “Andrea’s been brilliant and will be hugely missed by us and the viewers.”

No leaving date has been announced.
