Vivien Creegor was one of Sky’s most experienced broadcasters, joining Britain’s first 24-hour news channel just before it went to air in February 1989.
Vivien began her broadcasting career as a production assistant in BBC Radio drama, moving on to become a newsreader for BBC radio and regional and national television presenter. Just before joining Sky News, she co-presented Transit – a live travel and leisure programme – with Mike Smith on BBC 2. She is a regular presenter of the Sky News at Ten bulletin.
In November 1995, Vivien co-chaired the United Nations’ 4th World Conference on Women, held in Beijing. Over 45,000 delegates attended and Vivien was chosen to chair sessions where speakers included Hillary Clinton, Jane Fonda and Benazir Bhutto, after impressing top UN officials who saw her on Sky News.
In May 1992, Vivien chaired two discussions for the World Health Organisation at the bi-annual World Health Assembly in Geneva which discussed ways of developing international healthcare, particularly for women.
Since leaving Sky News in 2005, Vivien has gone on to star in Stormbreaker, and played Helen in the 2009 movie, Dance Star
