Tim Marshall is a former foreign correspondent at Sky News.

He is also a former Sky News presenter, which included a six-hour unbroken broadcasting stint as ground attack went in during the Gulf War.

He was formerly Sky News Middle East Correspondent based in Jerusalem. Whilst at Sky he has also reported from most of Europe, the USA and much of Asia. During the original Bosnian crisis he reported in the field from Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia.

Before joining Sky News he spent three years as IRN’s Paris correspondent, and has worked extensively for BBC radio and television over a career spanning 20 years after spending four years in the RAF.

Tim spent the majority of the 1999 Kosovo crisis in Belgrade, where he was one of the few western journalists allowed to report from one of the main targets of Nato bombing raids. He returned briefly to the UK to get married, before going back to the Balkans. For the day that the Nato troops advanced into Pristina, Tim was already in the Kosovo capital, and indeed came out to greet them as they entered.

He has also been Sky News European Correspondent, heading up the newly-formed Brussels Bureau.
