Mel Coles is a BBC Weather presenter who works on BBC East Midlands and the BBC News Channel.
Mel was born and bred in the East Midlands. She has a degree in Contemporary Art and a post graduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism.
After spending several years in radio, Mel went on to become a video journalist before joining East Midlands Today in 2013.
Since 2018, she has presented the weather on the BBC News Channel.
