Sky News will broadcast live coverage of their newsroom online and on a dedicated channel from 7am-5pm on February 5th to mark the 30th anniversary of Sky News.
32 cameras and microphones will be installed in the newsrooms. The corporate offices will serve as a “safe zone” to get away from the cameras and have sensitive conversations.
In a letter to staff, Dan Williams Head of Politics, advised staff that: “for the day we will all need to be very conscious that we are being filmed and the obvious implications that has.”
Sky News Raw will be available on Sky channel 523, via the Sky News website or via the Sky News App.
Sky News launched on Sunday 5th February 1989 at 6pm, where the late Alastair Yates and former GMTV presenter Penny Smith presented the first broadcast.
