Rachael Latham - Biography & Images

Rachael Latham

Rachael is a former Paralympic swimmer who competed in Beijing 2008 and is the current European record holder for 200m butterfly, world record holder for 50m butterfly and 200m backstroke British record holder.

She won bronze and silver at the world championships aged just 17 but was forced to quit competitive swimming in 2010 because of injury.

Rachael has reported for Channel 4 at the 2011 BT Paralympic World Cup, IPC European Swimming Championships in Berlin, and Paralympics 2012.

In 2021, Rachael was the BBC’s reporter covering the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
