Sky’s Alex Crawford interviewed on BBC News Channel

Sky News correspondent Alex Crawford was interviewed on the BBC News Channel this afternoon.

She was talking about the more than 50 broadcast journalists who have sent an open letter to the embassies of Israel and Egypt calling for “free and unfettered access” to Gaza for foreign media.

Alex, along with the BBC’s Jeremy Bowen, Orla Guerin and Fergal Keane, ITN’s John Ray, and CNN’s Christiane Amanpour have all signed the letter.

Rajini ended the interview by thanking Alex for the work she does and says the BBC admires her hugely.

CNN News Central moves to earlier start time from Monday

Kasie Hunt’s Early Start will run from 5am to 7am ET, before John, Kate and Sara take over at 7am ET.

Jim Acosta will host the 10am hour, while Pamela Brown anchors the 11am ET hour. Wolf will look after Pamela’s show while she’s on maternity leave.

Sky News presenter Sophy Ridge has tested positive for Coronavirus.

This week’s Sophy Ridge on Sunday show will now be hosted by Stephen Dixon. Sophy will return to the show next week – 31st Jan.

Aston Villa v Newcastle United called off due to COVID-19

Aston Villa’s Premier League clash with Newcastle United this Friday has been called off.

The match, which was scheduled to be shown live on Sky Sports, has been postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak at the Magpies.

The game will be rescheduled for a later date.

Ravens v Steelers Thanksgiving game moved to Sunday

The late evening Thanksgiving game between AFC North rivals Raven and Steelers has been moved to Sunday following COVID-19 tests.

The game was scheduled to be shown late Thursday on NBC in the States and on Sky Sports in the UK. With just over 24-hours to go before kick-off, we’re not sure if another game will move into that slot..

UPDATE – The League has confirmed it will now be a double-header.

UPDATE – NBC will still show Ravens v Steelers but at the new time and date of Sunday 1pm ET.. NBC’s scheduled Bears v Packers will still air at 7pm ET on NBC.

Chris Myers to host NFL programming on FOX this Sunday

Chris Myers will host Fox’s NFL Kickoff and NFL Sunday pregame shows this Sunday.

“In accordance with CDC guidance, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Safety Guidelines – and out of an abundance of caution for our team – Sunday’s Fox NFL Kickoff and Fox NFL Sunday pregame shows from our Los Angeles studio will not include their regular casts, said Fox Sports.

“Filling in as host for both shows will be Chris Myers with analysts Charles Woodson and Reggie Bush in studio, while members of the Fox NFL Sunday cast will appear via remote.

“We look forward to the return of both casts to their regular posts soon.”
