Sky News US Homepage

Sky News has today launched a dedicated homepage for the United States ahead of this year’s Presidential Election.

Visitors to skynews.com in the USA will arrive at a bespoke homepage focusing on the latest news tailored to a US audience.

The channel has also hired three dedicated digital producers for this six month pilot project, and will initially be based in New York, Washington and London.

Sky News is already available in the United States via the award winning Sky News for iPad and on Livestation, the largest aggregator of live television news online.

“We already have a significant number of unique users in the US and we believe there is a real appetite for more of our content over there,” said Andrew Hawken, Editorial Director of Sky News Digital.

“Along with the international version of Sky News for iPad and our availability on Livestation, this is a real opportunity for Sky News to engage with new visitors and grow our existing audience in the States.”

A new tab will be placed on skynews.com in the UK, allowing users here to view US related content in one place. The dedicated section will also be available on smartphones and android devices.
