Sky News have purchased a twin engine ‘Squirrel’ helicopter which will change the way it covers certain stories.

The ‘SkyCopter’ will allow the award-winning Sky News team to cover major stories, where scale is important. The ‘SkyCopter’ will take its first flight in August.

Motorway, sea and rail disasters, phenomena such as crop circles, extreme weather conditions – flooding or heavy snow
