Queen’s Speech 2015 – Live on BBC, Sky News TV – State Opening of Parliament

Queen Speech

The 2015 State Opening of Parliament takes place at the Palace of Westminster today.

It marks the formal start of the parliamentary year and will be the first Conservative Queen’s Speech in 18 years. The speech will set out the government’s agenda for the coming session, outlining proposed policies and legislation.

The event combines politics and pageantry to mark the first day, and will be attended by the Queen, who has only ever missed two opening ceremonies during her reign.

Live TV Coverage will be available on BBC One, BBC News Channel, BBC Parliament and Sky News.

Huw Edwards presents the BBC’s coverage from 10.30am on BBC One and BBC News Channel.

Sky’s coverage includes Adam Boulton on Abingdon Green, Anushka Asthana at No 10, along with Faisal Islam, Joey Jones and Sophy Ridge.

Coverage will also be streamed live on the BBC News and Sky News websites
