Laura Kuenssberg is about to become the BBC’s first female Election Night presenter.
According to The Sun, Kuenssberg is expected to co-host coverage with fellow BBC presenter Clive Myrie as the Corporation moves on from Huw Edwards.
Kuenssberg currently hosts the Sunday morning programme on the BBC, while Myrie is a host of the BBC News at Ten and Mastermind.
The pair will step into the role vacated by Edwards who was suspended over claims he gave £35,000 to a young person who sent him explicit images.
Edwards hosted his first General Election in 2019 taking over the role filled by David Dimbleby since 1979.
