ITV News has won the BAFTA for news coverage at this year’s awards.
News at Ten picked up the award for their coverage of the Cumbria Murders – which saw taxi driver Derrick Bird kill Twelve people and injure 25 – his body was later found in the Boot area.

Also nominated in the same category was the BBC for the ‘Handover of Power’, Sky News for their recent coverage of the ‘Egypt crisis’ and Channel 4 News for their report ‘From Chile’s Ecstasy to Congo’s Agony’.
BBC Sport won the sports coverage award for their F1 coverage of the Abu Dhabi grand prix.

TalkTV will remove their channel from linear TV on Friday 26th April. The channel will move out of its TV
