The challenge went viral on social media earlier this month and is raising money for ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), the most common of the five motor neuron diseases.

The contestant fills a bucket full of ice and water, then reveals who summoned them to do the challenge. They then nominate three other individuals of their choice to take part in the challenge, before dumping the bucket of ice water over themselves.

Yesterday, fellow SSNHQ presenters Jim White and Kirsty Gallacher took up the challenge.
