Andrew Wilson joined the Sky news team as a reporter in 1993.
He covered stories for Sky News in Bosnia, the Middle East, across Europe, in Africa and as far afield as Perth, Australia.
After a brief spell as an Army Officer, his first assignment in international news was for TV-am in November 1989 when the Berlin Wall was demolished at the end of the Cold War.
Shortly after that he found himself in Kuwait City on the heels of the Allied Forces and the retreating armies of Saddam Hussein.
He also served time as Midlands and then Scotland Correspondent for TV-am.
In 1998 Andrew moved to Russia as Sky News Moscow Correspondent, where he spent much of his time covering the war in Chechnya.
He was also part of the award winning Sky News team that advanced in 1999 from Macedonia into Kosovo alongside the Kfor troops.
In January 2001 Andrew moved from Moscow to Jerusalem, then on to America, where he is now Sky’s U.S. Correspondent.
