Darren Jordon is a presenter with Al-Jazeera International, based in Doha.
Prior to this, Darren was a presenter on the BBC’s One O’clock News and weekend bulletins.
Darren joined BBC News in 1999 from BBC Sport, where he was a part of the BBC News 24 sports team, and became a presenter on both BBC News 24 and on BBC World, where he anchored coverage of many important world events. Darren then moved to Breakfast where he was a weekend presenter from the programmes launch in October 2000, alongside Sarah Montague.
Whilst at the BBC, Darren has also been a special correspondent for the One O’clock News and has reported for Real Story and 4×4 Reports. He has also presented on a number of other BBC programmes – notably the D-Day 60th Anniversary, Rolf – The Big Event, The Lord Mayor’s Show, and he has appeared on Top Gear.
Darren was educated in the West Indies and at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, in England.
