Jane Hill is a BBC News presenter.

Jane started her BBC career in BBC Local Radio and joined the corporation full time in 1991. She was a producer on BBC Radio Five Live for 18 months from its launch and then moved into television after completing the BBC Regional News Trainee Scheme.

Jane has been at BBC News 24 since its launch in 1997 and in her time there has covered a wide range of stories. She also presented live coverage from Ground Zero of the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks and then returned one year later.

She also presented live coverage for the BBC News Channel from the US Elections 2008. Jane has presented many special programmes on BBC One and BBC Two, particularly during the War In Iraq and during many other news events.

From 2001, Jane has also presented bulletins on BBC One, mainly at weekends but she also covers for presenters on other bulletins.

In her spare time, Jane is a keen supporter of the arts, particularly theatre, and enjoys food, wine – and going to the gym.
