NBC’s Al Roker reveals prostate cancer diagnosis

Al Roker Cancer

Al Roker has announced that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The NBC Today host said he will be undergoing surgery to have his prostate removed next week.

“It’s a good news-bad news kind of thing,” said the 66-year-old.

“Good news is we caught it early. Not great news is that it’s a little aggressive, so I’m going to be taking some time off to take care of this.”

Al hopes to be back on TODAY in two weeks time.

He is the current weather anchor on NBC’s Today. Roker also serves as co-host on the 3rd Hour of Today.
