Martin Brundle will miss this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix following a medical procedure.

The Sky Sports F1 co-commentator told his 500k+ Twitter followers: “Had a medical procedure last week, went extremely well

“I won’t be in Montreal but my excellent @SkySportsF1 colleagues will. Every lap live.”

Sky will show all five sessions – practice, qualifying and the race live, while Channel 4 will broadcast free-to-air highlights of qualifying and the race.

Paul di Resta will replace Martin this weekend.
