Sky Sports News HQ has launched this morning.
Formerly known has Sky Sports News (SSN), Sky Sports News HQ will put viewers at the heart of sports news with a new schedule, upgraded studio and improved digital services including redesigned apps and integrated social media coverage.
The channel has moved from its 405 EPG slot to 401 on the EPG.
The new programmes – including ‘The Morning View’, ‘News HQ at 5’ and ‘Sky Sports Today’ – will complement existing shows on the schedule, as well as showcasing other content on the Sky Sports channels.
MORNING: Following Good Morning Sports Fans, The Morning View will be shown from 10am to noon and will include expert analysis, comment and opinion on events from the night before, issues of the day and preview the sport ahead that day.
AFTERNOON: From noon until 5pm, Sky Sports Today will keep viewers up to date with the major sports news each afternoon. The new investigations desk will seek to validate the sports rumours and stories being debated across social media.
EVENINGS: News HQ at 5 and News HQ at 6 will provide a round-up of the sports headlines from the day for when viewers get home from work. Sky Sports Tonight offers viewers extended reports and features from 7pm. Sky Sports News at Ten and Through the Night return for a final view on the day’s top stories.
WEEKENDS: The live sports news coverage continues every weekend with all the latest stories and reports every Saturday and Sunday plus programming favourites including Gillette Soccer Saturday, Goals Express and Transfer Centre.
