HomeSky SportsMark Bolton: “I was axed”

Last week we brought you a story about Mark Bolton – host of Spanish football on Sky Sports.

The story was about Mark not signing a new contract with Sky: “My current Sky contract expires in August and I will not be renewing it.”

18 days on from that tweet, Mark has revealed what really happened.

“I didn’t ask to leave Sky Sports. They didn’t want to re-new my contract. Ask them why?

“YES. I WAS AXED.

“Sky Sports told me Im “Very talented & excellent on screen” but that Im “Anti-authoritarian” & that they’d decided to not renew my contract.”

Still no word on Mark’s replacement..
