Sky News has today announced the appointment of Ian King as its new Business Presenter.
Ian, who is currently the Business and City Editor at The Times, will be a lead voice in Sky’s business coverage and will present its daily business programme that tackles the top corporate stories of the day.
The show, based at Sky’s City studio in the Gherkin, features hard hitting interviews that puts business leaders through their paces, analyses the big corporate news of the day, as well as helping to tell our viewers how these stories will affect their lives. He will also offer his expertise on big business stories across Sky News’ multiple digital products.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Sky News team,” said Ian.
“Sky’s business coverage during recent years has been second-to-none and its passion for business news unmatched.”
Ian – who takes on the role after Jeff Randall steps down at the end of March – has been at the forefront of financial journalism for the last twenty years, starting his reporting career at The Daily Telegraph.
Since then he has worked at The Guardian and The Mail on Sunday before becoming Business Editor of The Sun in 2000. Whilst there he was named Business Journalist of the Year at the UK Press Awards and Business Journalist of the Year at the London Press Club Awards.
