The Death of Queen Elizabeth II

On Thursday 8th September 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The announcement came at 6.31pm, as read by the BBC, ITV, Sky, GB News, Channel 4, 5 News, and TalkTV during a live broadcast.

Earlier in the day, doctors reported her health had been rapidly deteriorating, and placed her under medical supervision.
