Peacock is set to make NFL history by hosting the league’s inaugural regular-season game in Brazil, slated for the opening week of the upcoming season on Friday, September 6th, 2024.

This landmark event, to be held in Sao Paulo, represents the third exclusive NFL game to be aired on Peacock, following the Bills-Chargers matchup in December 2023 and the Dolphins-Chiefs AFC Wild Card clash in January 2024.

The Philadelphia Eagles will headline the Brazil game, with their opponent set to be revealed later in the year upon the release of the schedules.

Rick Cordella, President of NBC Sports, expressed enthusiasm for Peacock’s role in spotlighting this historic event, stating, “It’s exciting for Peacock to exclusively showcase the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in Brazil as part of NBC Sports’ unprecedented presentation of three primetime games on the NFL’s opening weekend.”

He highlighted Peacock’s commitment to delivering top-notch sports streaming experiences, citing the upcoming Paris Olympics and Paralympics, where every event will be live-streamed on the service.

NBC will kick off the season with the opening game on Thursday, September 5th, featuring the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Additionally, Sunday Night Football on NBC will return on September 8th, 2024, rounding out an exciting start to the NFL season.
