Phillip Schofield today presented the weather forecast on ITV as part of his 24 hour live TV marathon for Text Santa.
He received a few tips from ITV’s weather forecaster, Lucy Verasamy, before presenting the forecast for real after the ITV Evening News.
Speaking before the start of the live marathon, which began at 11am this morning, Phillip said: “I’ve signed up to some crazy ideas in my 30 years on television but I’ve never taken on anything like this. I’m going to present LIVE TV for 24 hours straight. No breaks, no co-presenter and no idea how I’m going to cope! If I get through this I’ll have made TV history.
“I’m putting myself through this because of the 6 amazing charities supported by Text Santa this year. They are: Teenage Cancer Trust, Guide Dogs, WellChild, Alzheimer’s Society, Together for Short Lives & Marie Curie Cancer Care.
“I’d be so grateful if you could help by sponsoring me. Anything you can spare helps and all money raised is split equally between the 6 charities.”
