An hour after the news that Prince Harry is serving in Afghanistan broke on British television, Mark Austin shows up live in Kabul, Afghanistan, for an ITV Evening News special. The special is being simulcast on CNN International.

Austin is the only presenter from the U.K currently in Afghanistan. Bill Neely is in Musa Qala, Phil Reay-Smith in Lashkar Gar, Chris Ship outside MoD and Tom Bradby in Downing St.

There’ll be a hour special of the News at Ten tonight with Mark, Trevor and Julie. The Ten will also be extended.
