Gabe Gutierrez is an NBC News National Correspondent based in New York.
After joining NBC News in 2012, Gutierrez was based in Atlanta for several years but covered major stories around the world.
During the 2016 presidential campaign, he joined NBC’s political team covering the Republican primaries.
Internationally, Gutierrez has reported on terrorist attacks in London, Paris and Brussels.
He’s travelled to an earthquake in Chile, a volcanic eruption in Guatemala and a presidential assassination in Haiti.
In 2020 and 2021, he reported extensively on the coronavirus pandemic, filing reports in hospital ICUs from New York to Washington State.
