Carlos Suarez

Carlos Suarez is a CNN correspondent based in Miami.

Suarez joined CNN from NBC 6 South Florida, where he anchored both weekend newscasts and in the field for the station’s coverage of the tragic condominium collapse in Surfside.

He covered Hurricane Dorian, and the response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic in the South Florida community.

Prior to that, Suarez was an anchor and reporter for WPLG Local 10 in Pembroke Park, Florida, where he won a regional Emmy Award for his coverage of the deadly mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

He was also a reporter for WINK-TV in Ft. Myers, Florida.
