Jon Gripton is set to become the new managing editor of BBC Jersey later this year.
Jon is currently the editor of Sky News Online, and was appointed to the senior role in July 2008.
Gripton leaves his role at Sky News in October after 10 years. He became editor of online operations there in July 2008. His role at SKY includes building the networks reputation through social media.
He has previously worked at the BBC as a radio presenter on BBC Wiltshire, and will be taking over the current editor; Denzil Dudley, who will retire after more than 30 years with the BBC
