Sky News political correspondent Joe Pike is joining BBC Newsnight.
He will join the programme in the summer as Insight and Investigations Editor.
Stewart Maclean, editor of Newsnight, said: “Joe’s an indefatigable journalist who’ll help Newsnight analyse events and hold power to account in Whitehall, the UK’s devolved parliaments and beyond.”
Joe – who is currently in Scotland reporting on the appointment of Humza Yousaf as new leader of the Scottish National Party – joined Sky News three years ago.
Before joining Sky, Joe reported on politics in Northern England and Scotland for ITV.
