Michael Fish BBC Weather Presenter

Michael Fish was Britains longest-serving weather forecaster and one of the best known until he retired in 2004.

Michael joined the BBC in 1971, forecasting on radio. He then gradually moved onto television and became one of the BBC’s main forecasters, presenting across a range of services.

He has made many appearances on television and radio shows ranging from light entertainment to factual programmes including Tomorrow’s World and The Sky At Night.

In 2004 Mike was made an MBE, an award of which he is very proud, in recognition of his long service forecasting weather for the British public.
