BBC Wales Today  New Studio

BBC Wales Today has begun broadcasting live from its new studio in Cardiff city centre today.

After more than 50 years based in suburban Llandaff, BBC One Wales and BBC Two Wales moved into the new headquarters last October.

The building’s first audio broadcast was made on 15 July 2020 by channel announcer Leanne Thomas. This was followed by the first radio broadcasts, by BBC Radio Cymru 2 host Daniel Glyn on the 25 July 2020.

The first news broadcast took place on 28th September at 12.30pm with a Coronavirus Update.
