Steph Houghton joins BBC Sport

Steph Houghton is joining BBC Sport.
In her first big move since retiring from professional football at the end of last season, the centre-back and former Lionesses captain will be a pundit for the corporation, starting with Football Focus this weekend.
She will also bring her knowledge and expert insight to Match of the Day, live football and shows across BBC Radio 5 Live.
Houghton said: “I am excited to be part of BBC Sport’s football coverage, for the upcoming Premier League and WSL 2024/25 seasons.
I am looking forward to being able to share my experiences and provide insights into the game that I love”.
Theo Walcott and Joe Hart will also join the BBC ahead of the new Premier League season as reported previously here.
Football Focus is on BBC One at 12pm this Saturday, while the first episode of Match of the Day is at 10.20pm.
