Kay Burley will moderate a live head-to-head debate as part of the Conservative leadership election contest on Sky News.

The two final candidates in the battle for Number 10 will take part in a live debate with a studio audience made up of Conservative voters at Sky’s west London Studios.

The programme will be available to all other media with a transmission date to be confirmed soon.

“For three years Sky News has offered independent coverage in great depth of the tumultuous changes that have engulfed our country and its politics,” said John Ryley, Head of Sky News.

“We’ve consistently pushed the agenda for leaders’ debates for over a decade, this will be another key milestone in the unprecedented political turmoil we’ve been able to witness.”

The BBC also announced today that they will hold a TV debate between all Tory leadership candidates as well as a Question Time special between the final two.
