Paul Harrison announces his departure from Sky News; joins Huawei

Former news correspondent Paul Harrison has announced he is leaving Sky News.

“After 22 extraordinary years working on and off-screen at Sky News on some of the biggest stories of our lifetime, I am pleased to have been appointed to a senior communications role at Huawei Technologies UK/Europe which I take up later this summer,” said Paul.

“I’ll miss the hugely talented and truly lovely people who make Sky News the force it is today. I am equally excited about joining a company at the centre of the global news agenda at such pivotal time for 5G and AI.”

Paul joined Sky in 1997 as a newsdesk assistant, working then on the newsdesk and planning before working in the field as a producer, Europe news editor (Brussels based), North of England Correspondent, News Correspondent (general), Business Correspondent and as Royal Correspondent.

Since 2014, Paul as worked as a senior news editor based in Osterley, and for the past 15 months in Westminster.
