Boyband The Risk and Johnny Robinson were voted off in the X Factor double elimination tonight.
The Risk received the fewest votes and were eliminated from the competition straight away.
Johnny and Kitty were the next two acts to receive the lowest number of votes and had to sing again in a bid to make next week’s live show.
In the sing-off, Johnny sang Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers, while Kitty performed Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson.
Louis Walsh was first to vote: “I love both acts, they’re two of the nicest people I know. The vocals were incredible in the sing-off, lots of passion. But I have to pick the person I think in the real world will get a recording contract. I’m not going to cop out, I’m going to made a decision and the act I have to send home is Johnny.”
Tulisa Contostavlos added: “As always I get along of both of you guys really well, but I’ve got to go with the act I look forward to watching perform the most each week, so for me the act I’m sending home tonight is Johnny.”
Kelly Rowland said: “The act I’m sending home to tonight is going to be Johnny.”
Gary Barlow’s vote didn’t matter in the end, but he said: “I’d have sent home Johnny but I need to say that Johnny is one of the nicest people in this competition, well done Johnny, you’ve been brilliant!”
It was announced tonight that Lady Gaga and One Direction will perform on next Sunday’s results show.
