will.i.am is the second celebrity coach to be confirmed for The Voice UK.

The 36-year-old American is the founder and front man of The Black Eyed Peas and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with him.

The seven-time Grammy Award winner has worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Cheryl Cole, Britney Spears, David Guetta and film composer Hans Zimmer.

“I’m proud to be doing The Voice UK because the UK was the first place I saw success,” said will.i.am.

“It’s the place I’m the most creative outside of home.”

BBC One Controller Danny Cohen says: “I am thrilled that will.i.am has signed up to be a Coach on The Voice. He is a huge star who will bring a unique creativity to the show.”

The Voice UK will be presented by Reggie Yates and Holly Willoughby from Spring 2012. The remaining two coaches will be announced in the near future.
