Channel 4 has ordered a second series of 10 O’Clock Live.
David Mitchell, Charlie Brooker, Lauren Laverne and Jimmy Carr return to give an alternative take on the week’s news events.
The 10-part series, set to launch early in 2012, will broadcast for 45 minutes per show, down from 60 minutes for the first series.
The team will be joined live by a range of studio guests, from politicians to cultural commentators and other experts.
Darren Smith, Commissioning Editor Channel 4 said “We’re thrilled to be back in this territory again, especially with such an enormously talented line-up. I don’t think a show like this could exist anywhere else but C4.”
Ruth Phillips, Head of Comedy at Zeppotron added “We’re delighted to be back with our exceptional cast delivering weekly live satirical comedy alongside an indepth look at current affairs. We’re also grateful that we’ll be on air just in time for the collapse of the entire Western world.”
