SheBelieves Cup

BBC Two will broadcast live coverage of USA v England in the SheBelieves Cup 2020 this evening.

Eilidh Barbour presents coverage of the opening match for both nations in the four-team round-robin tournament, held at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

England won this competition last year after drawing 2-2 with today’s opponents either side of victories over Japan and Brazil.

However, it was the Americans who reigned supreme in last summer’s World Cup, defeating Phil Neville’s side 2-1 in the semi-finals en route to retaining the trophy.

Coverage starts at 11.40pm on BBC Two and BBC Two HD. Kick-off 12.00am.

The SheBelieves Cup is an invitational women’s association football tournament held in the United States in late February or early March.

In its first three years (2016, 2017 and 2018), it was contested by the same four teams: the United States, England, France, and Germany.

In 2019 the tournament line up changed for the first time to Brazil, England, Japan and the United States. For 2020 the tournament includes England, Japan, Spain and the United States.

England will face Japan on the 8th March and Spain on the 11th March. Both matches will be shown live on BBC Four and the BBC iPlayer.
